Ingredients:
- 1 large red onion, cut into ½ inch strips
- 2 lbs. fresh green beans, washed and trimmed
- ½ tsp garlic salt
- 4 tsp balsamic vinegar
- canola oil cooking spray
- Heat canola oil spray in medium skillet
- Add onion and sautee on medium/low heat until golden brown (caramelized)
– stirring frequently for approx 25 min
– set aside - Steam green beans in steamer until crisp / tender – approx 10 min
- Add green beans and garlic salt to skillet and mix with onions
- Drizzle with vinegar
- Serve warm or cold
