Mint & Cinnamon Green Tea

Healthy Recipe Mint & Cinnamon Green Tea Ingredients:

  • 1 small bunch of mint leaves (approx. 15-17 sprigs)
  • 4 3 in. cinnamon sticks (optional)
  • 4 bags green tea, regular or decaffeinated
  • 6 c. cold water
  • 1-2 thin slices of fresh ginger (optional)
  • optional – 4 tbs. agave natural sweetener
Preparations:
  • Place mint, cinnamon sticks and ginger in large saucepan.
  • Add water, cover pot and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes & remove from heat.
  • Add tea bags to liquid and leave there for 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags, mint, ginger and cinnamon sticks – keep the sticks.
  • Sweeten the hot tea to taste with the agave (optional).
  • When pouring into mugs, you can add cinnamon sticks for garnish and serve.
